Supernatural Weapons For The Last Days
When you are filled with the power of God and dressed in His armor, you are no longer running from the devil. Instead, you are pursuing him and putting him on the run! You become filled with the full force of Heaven’s army, and its might is released through you. Like a divine force of nature, you turn into God’s hurricane, tornado, or earthquake that shakes up and pushes back the domain in darkness.
When you receive God’s power and are dressed in all the weapons He provides, suddenly you become a conquering force! He enables you to “withstand in the evil day.”
-
To stand against
-
To push against
-
To aggressively position oneself against
You become a soldier that is moving forward to drive back the forces of darkness in the “evil day.”
The Whole Armor of God - NLT
10 A final word: Be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power.
11 Put on all of God’s armor so that you will be able to stand firm against all strategies of the devil.
12 For we are not fighting against flesh-and-blood enemies, but against evil rulers and authorities of the unseen world, against mighty powers in this dark world, and against evil spirits in the heavenly places.
13 Therefore, put on every piece of God’s armor so you will be able to resist the enemy in the time of evil. Then after the battle you will still be standing firm.
14 Stand your ground, putting on the belt of truth and the body armor of God’s righteousness.
15 For shoes, put on the peace that comes from the Good News so that you will be fully prepared.
16 In addition to all of these, hold up the shield of faith to stop the fiery arrows of the devil.
17 Put on salvation as your helmet, and take the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God.
18 Pray in the Spirit at all times and on every occasion. Stay alert and be persistent in your prayers for all believers everywhere.
2 Corinthians 10:4 – AMPC
4 For the weapons of our warfare are not physical [weapons of flesh and blood], but they are mighty before God for the overthrow and destruction of strongholds,
Paul had a close encounter with the Roman soldiers because of his many imprisonments; he was able to see the full armor of an armed Roman soldier. Paul could see the Roman soldier’s loin belt, huge breastplate, brutal shoes affixed with spikes, massive, full-length shield. Intricate helmet, piercing sword and long, specially tooled lance that could be thrown a tremendous distance to hit the enemy from afar.
When God’s Power hits you, it buckles the belt of truth around your waist and puts the breastplate of righteousness across your chest. It straps on your shoes of peace and raises your shield of faith. God’s power places the helmet of salvation on your head, secures the lance of prayer to your belt, and places the sword of the Spirit in your hand.
As long as you walk in the power of God, that power will dress you in spiritual weaponry to live your life in victory. Is to receive God’s divine infusion of power, which Paul describes in verse 10.
FINALLY, MY BETHREN, BE STRONG IN THE LORD AND IN THE POWER OF HIS MIGHT. (EPH. 6:10)
Finally – For the rest of the matter, finally, to the last and most important matter at hand.
Brethren – two or more that were born from the same womb; brothers in battle, comrade, brotherhood.
Strong – power; dunamis, the power of a whole army being deposited into a person; inner strengthening; supernatural enablement; explosive, superhuman power that comes with enormous energy and produces phenomenal, extraordinary, and unparalleled results being deposited into a receptacle.
Power = strength, victory over something, taking something by force, or storming something, demonstrated power.
Might – a strong man, such as a mighty man with great muscular capabilities; used in the New Testament to picture God as One who is able, mighty, and muscular; one with all the might and ability to overcome any foe to accomplish any act needed; power, strength, great might, great force, or great ability.
Before the apostle Paul revealed the spiritual weapons we have been give by God, he urged us to “be strong in the Lord.” Only when the all-surpassing power of the Holy Spirit is released within us are we dressed in armor and empowered to deal victoriously with the archenemy of our faith.
THE LOINBELT OF TRUTH
The Loin belt of truth is the written Word of God! It s the most important piece of weaponry that we possess.
Ephesians 6:14 (NKJV)
Stand therefore, having girded your waist with truth, having put on the breastplate of righteousness,
“Loins” is the Greek Word osphus, which describes the reproductive area or the seat of regenerative powers.
The Word of God contains the reproductive ability of God. First Peter 1:24 confirms this saying, “Being born again, not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible, by the Word of God.
It is the Word operating in your life that gives you the ability to supernaturally produce all that God is in you and in others.
Without God’s Word wrapped around us, we wouldn’t have God’s peace. Without God’s Word in our lives, we would cease to feel the joy of our salvation, and our sense of righteousness would eventually evaporate. If we lay aside the belt of truth, we would quickly lose our ability to walk in faith (our shield), and our sword of the Spirit would be lost. When we ignore the Word of God and cease to apply it to our life on a daily basis, we have willfully chosen to let our entire spiritual life come apart at the seams!
If you remove the loin belt, The Word of God, it will only be a matter of time until you begin to fall into pieces spiritually. Demonic assaults will break through that invisible barrier that is used to protect you, and chaos will take over in your life.
If you want to walk through life clothed in your spiritual armor, you must begin by taking up The Word of God and permanently affixing it to your life. You have to give it a central place and a dominant role, allowing it to be the loin belt: that holds the rest of your weaponry together.
The Bible must be the governor, the law, the ruler, and “the final say-so” in your life.
THE BREASTPLATE OF RIGHTEOUSNESS
In addition to wrapping the lion belt of truth tightly around our waist, we are also instructed to put on the “breastplate of righteousness (Ephesians 6:14).
In Greek, the word for “breastplate” is thorax, and it depicted a breastplate that covered the part of the body from the neck to the navel.
It protected the chest and extended down to the hips. It consisted of two parts and protected the body on both sides, front and back from the neck to the mid-section. Most importantly, it protected vital organs; figuratively, it protected the heart.
As a Believer, Jesus has made you righteous The Bible says, “For he [God] hath made him [Jesus] to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in Him (2 Corinthians 5:21).
Righteousness is not something we have obtained on our own. God gives it to us by grace. Paul said, “but if Christ lives in you, [then although] your [natural] body is dead by reason of sin and guilt, the spirit is alive because of [the] righteousness [that He imputes to you]” (Romans 8:10 AMPC).
When a person doesn’t know he or she is righteous, that person usually lacks confidence and prays very defeated prayers. On the other hand, when a person really knows he or she is the righteousness of God in Christ, that person shines and dazzles with confidence. Not because they are confident in themselves, but because they are confident in the righteousness God has given them.
Knowing we are righteous in Christ powerfully protects our heart, which is the seat of our emotions. The truth is our emotions can be all over the place, up one minute and down the next. But when we are covered by the breastplate of righteousness, we remain emotionally stable and strong. And the longer we walk in righteousness, the more brilliant we become.
The more you wear your breastplate of righteousness walking through life fully conscious of your righteousness in Christ, the more brightly you will shine as a light in a dark world of sin. As you walk in righteousness, all you have to do is walk into a dark situation, and that darkness will begin to flee from you.
Evil forces always flee from righteousness because they cannot endure the brilliant light that righteousness reflects into their eyes!
When you understand that God has freely imparted righteousness to you and that this God-given righteousness now serves you as a gorgeous breastplate, it will affect your attitude profoundly. You will discover that your level of confidence rises dramatically because an attitude of righteousness imparts both confidence and tremendous authority. With that confidence in operation, you will move out to do all kinds of exploits for God. Righteousness will equip you not only in a spiritual way, but it will affect you in the natural realm as well.
Righteousness will make you noticeable. You are as brilliant and powerful as Jesus Himself when you are wearing this breastplate.
SHOES OF PEACE
PEACE NOT ONLY PROTECTS YOU, BUT IT ALSO PROVIDES YOU WITH A BRUTAL WEAPON TO WIELD AGAINST THE ENEMY WHEN HE ATTACKS.
Ephesians 6:14-18 (NKJV)
14 Stand therefore, having girded your waist with truth, having put on the breastplate of righteousness,
15 and having shod your feet with the preparation of the gospel of peace;
16 above all, taking the shield of faith with which you will be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked one.
17 And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God;
18 praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, being watchful to this end with all perseverance and supplication for all the saints—
Romans 16:20 NKJV)
And the God of peace will crush Satan under your feet shortly. The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you. Amen.
When we wear our spiritual shoes, God’s peace holds us firmly in place. When the enemy tries to push us out of our position, the peace of God grounds us in Christ so that we become very difficult to move.
THE SHIELD OF FAITH
As a Believer, when you become a soldier in God’s army, you receive a shield of faith.
Romans 12:3 says that God has dealt to each one a measure of faith. That means that we don’t have to worry about having the same amount of faith as anyone else. You have all the faith you need and are completely covered from head to foot.
The position of our faith is supposed to be aggressively out front where it can completely cover us and protect us from all harm.
Our shield of faith can be picked up or it can be laid down. We are able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked. Fiery darts, an arrow with its tip wrapped with fabric soaked in flammable liquid so that it would burn with hot flames. Arrows that were hollow inside and filled with combustible fluids that upon impact exploded into a blazing fire.
Fiery darts of the wicked one – describes something malicious or malignant; something foul, vile, hostile, and vicious.
When the enemy shoots his arrows at us, they are often savage, wild, and vicious, and when they explode, they set our human passions aflame. It is only when our shield of faith has been regularly anointed by the Holy Spirit and soaked in God’s Word that those fiery darts will be extinguished.
The oil of the Spirit and the water of the Word preserve and empower your faith to function at full force, guaranteeing the enemy’s fiery darts will have little to no effect.
THE HELMET OF SALVATION
God has given us the Helmet of Salvation to Guard and Protect our mind and to protect us from the attacks of satan; his influence is to control by manipulation in our emotions, send sickness and disease to attack our body; God has given us a HELMET OF SALVATION to withstand him.
Paul likens salvation to a helmet; what does our salvation include?
We must have knowledge of our salvation; and it won’t matter how hard the devil tries to hit, we will know beyond a shadow of a doubt WHAT JESUS’ DEATH AND RESURRECTION PURCHASED FOR US.
The enemy will no longer be able to attack our minds as he did in the past, because he won’t be able to get past our IMPENETRABLE HELMET OF SALVATION.
The HELMET OF SALVATION is a defensive weapon. It is a weapon that protects our mind from every hellish assault.
The devil wants to rob you of every BLESSING that God has prepared for you. So, it is up to you to fill our mind with all that God has done for you.
The knowledge of SALVATION and ALL its benefits become like a helmet of bronze on our heads to protect our minds from the battle axe of the enemy.
As you faithfully meditate on the Word of God and allow it to work in your thought life, your mind will be renewed. Salvation will become so real to you; and you will become aware of all its benefits the result will be rest in your mind and secure in God, no longer capable of being penetrated by doubt and unbelief.
With the HELMET OF SALVATION FIRMLY IN PLACE, YOU WILL BE COMPLETELY SURROUNDED BOTH MENTALLY AND EMOTIONALLY BY THE UNASSAILABLE TRUTH OF ALL THAT IS YOU IN JESUS CHRIST.
Ephesians 6:17,18 (NKJV)
17 And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God;
18 praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, being watchful to this end with all perseverance and supplication for all the saints—
Take – receive in a welcoming way; receive what is offered; a willing attitude to accept
Helmet – a piece of armor that fits very tightly around the head.
The most noticeable gift God has given you is salvation through Christ. It is the most intricate, elaborate, and priceless transformation. He has mercifully and graciously brought about in your life, and when you are walking in the powerful reality of all that your salvation means to you, it is visible to others. Paul said the gift of salvation is like a helmet.
We need to know what the Bible says about healing, about deliverance from demonic powers, about spiritual authority over the devil, and all that we have inherited through the gift of our redemption.
When our minds are trained and taught to think correctly in terms of our salvation, that knowledge becomes a protective helmet in our lives.
Your Salvation is like a helmet that protects your mind. That is what the devil is after. He builds a road that is headed straight for your head in order to penetrate your thinking and take you captive by his deceptions; he will try to tell you that healing, deliverance, preservation of mind, and soundness are not really a part of Jeus’ redemptive work on the Cross.
It is so important that we study God’s Word and make it a goal to understand and walk in the full knowledge of our salvation, that knowledge becomes a protective helmet in our lives!
What does the word “Salvation” mean?
Saved or delivered. To be brought into a safe place. Moreover, to be saved, delivered from danger, brought into a safe place, healed, restored, or rescued.
THE SWORD OF THE SPIRIT
Our sword is called the sword of the Spirit, which is the Word of God. This means the Word of God in our mouth has lethal stabbing power. It has the ability to put the enemy on the run and to render him inoperative.
RHEMA words are both given and supernaturally empowered by the Holy Spirit to enable you to withstand the adversary’s spiritual, mental, emotional, and physical attacks.
When the Word of God gets in your heart and mind, that Word beings to impart light and direction to you. It will rise up from within as a sword, a specific sword of divine guidance. It doesn’t matter how dark the situation is that you are facing, when this sword of the Spirit comes from YOUR spirit, it will show you the way to go.
When the divine light of the Word is working in your spirit and mind, that light will come forth like a mighty blade out of your mouth, giving you the very words and direction you need to overcome the devils’ attacks at that precise moment.
So, refuse to allow the devil to beat you down in defeat any longer with his lies and accusations. Instead, allow the Holy Spirit to wield a powerful rhema word; like a blade of a mighty, two-edged sword, through faith filled words out of your mouth.
Then the enemy will be the one who leaves the scene defeated and demoralized, while you keep moving forward, walking victoriously in the light of God’s Word!
THE LANCE OF PRAYER
When you wild the lance of prayer and supplication, this powerful prayer tool is thrust forward into the spirit realm against the malevolent works of the adversary. By forcibly hurling this divine instrument into the face of the enemy, you exercise the power God has given you to stop major obstacles from developing in your personal life.
When the lance of prayer is used effectively it can become like a spear we hurl at the devil and his demonic forces to keep them from getting close to us. This is the power of prayer and intercession.
When you receive the infusion of God’s power, you are dressed in spiritual armor, and that armor puts you in a winning position!
THANKS BE TO GOD, WHO GIVES US THE VICTORY THROUGH OUR LORD JESUS CHRIST!
WE WIN BECAUSE JESUS ALREADY WON!
WE CAN DO ALL THINGS THROUGH CHRIST WHICH STRENGHTEN US!
